In this three-week camp, your child will “attend” 4 traditional Chinese festivals. He/she will learn Chinese language through songs, taste authentic food unique to each festival, hear the traditional stories about how and why these festivals are celebrated, and develop skills related to celebrating Chinese festivals like calligraphy and the dragon dance.
Who: 1st-6th grade students (no Chinese background is required)
When: July 24 - August 11, 2017 (3 weeks), 9AM-3PM
Where: OU Confucius Institute (1821 E. Imhoff Rd, Norman, OK 73071)
Three weeks - $400 ($50 registration fee received by 6/2) / $450 after 6/2
Two weeks - $300 ($50 registration fee received by 6/2) / $400 after 6/2
One week - $150 ($50 registration fee received by 6/2) / $200 after 6/2
Students may register on a weekly basis for $150/week if deposit is received by June 2nd and $200/week if deposit is received after June 2nd.
The $50 registration fee is non-refundable. Full tuition is due by July 14.
Scholarships: Need based scholarships available on a limited basis to those students in the Norman Public Schools District on the free or reduced lunch program. The scholarship will cover tuition, but all participants will still be required to pay the $50 registration fee.
